Paris Daisy
The Paris Daisy is indispensable for ikebana, yoseue (group planting), and flower arrangement. Kagawa prefecture is the largest producer of the paris daisy in Japan, and it is one of the representative flowering plants of the prefecture. Most of them are grown on the Shonai Peninsula in the western part of the prefecture and shipped to other parts of the country. The main varieties are the “native white species”, the “early season”, and the “very early season”. The warm climate, long hours of sunshine, and well-drained soil of the Shonai Peninsula are ideal for growing paris daisies. The resulting flowers are compact, tightly packed and full of moisture. The paris daisy is widely shipped throughout Japan.
