Bonnet birds, which have been featured in numerous TV programs and magazines and are becoming popular throughout Japan,
Kaji's favorite local gourmet. When you come to the birthplace of Marugame,
There is a mascot character, "Tori Tomoyuki Bonjujuju"!
This time it sounds more fun than usual, Mr. Kaji!

  • A gourmet bird with bones originated from Marugame City.

Mr. Kaji came to the Marugame City Tourist Information Center at JR Marugame Station when he was taught by the role of the guide to the bone bird, "Juju Bonju". We asked Marugame City Tourist Association Nagao about the history of birds with bones. "Bone with a bone was born here in Marugame in the late 20's. It has become increasingly popular and there are now shops that offer bone with a bird throughout Kagawa Prefecture." There are more than 50 cases in Marugame City, the home of bone-based birds alone. Of course, Kaji's taste has been familiar since he was little. "It's the same soul food that Kagawa people love, like udon."

  • A bird-on-the-bird world that spreads snacks, ramen and goods.

Marugame-originated birds with bones are on the rise. As if to match it, there are plenty of related products in addition to birds with souvenir bones. Foods such as “Bone with bone chips” and “Bone with bone ramen”, as well as bone and bone cushions, stationery, T-shirts, and smartphone cases! Above all, it is the guidebook “Bone with birds with bones encyclopedia” which is packed with information on birds with bones in Marugame city. "They are distributed free of charge at the tourist information center, so please have a copy." Kaji, who wants to eat a bone-in bird, dashes to one of them!

  • It's a traditional cooking method, outside is Paris and inside is Jwa ~

Kaji came to Santaro Izakaya near JR Marugame station, and first interviewed the owner, Yamaguchi. "Bake in the oven, bake on charcoal, and the way you make it depends on the shop. The seasoning is different, so it's fun to walk around." Santaro baked in the oven as before, seasoned only with salt and pepper. I had them burn the classic bone-attached birds “Oya” (parent bird) and “Hina” (young chicken), as well as “Sanuki Cochin,” which Kaji-san also reported. "It's really fun, it's fun!"

  • Sanuki Cochin's bone-in bird is a special taste!

Freshly baked hot boned birds lined up in front of you. At first gaburi "Oya"! "The more you chew with spicy, the more the flavor spreads! This is perfect for beer." Next, "Hina" is mushy! "It's soft and juicy. I want rice here." And lastly, the owner, Mr. Yamaguchi, says "I think it's the best." "The meat is closed, it has a taste, and it's juicy!" Oya "and" Hina "duck and child!" It was Mr. Kaji who thoroughly enjoyed the local gourmet that Kagawa was proud of.
