可愛而緊湊的奇異果
The sweetness packed into the small, bite-sized Kosui Kiwifruit is beyond words. Cut one in half, and you’ll see ripe, dark green fruit inside. Kosui was developed by the Kagawa Prefectural Agricultural Experiment Station, and registered as an original variety in September, 1999. It is not your typical kiwi. Kosui Kiwifruit are so small that when you see one for the first time, you’ll wonder if it really is a kiwi. They look just like grapes, growing together in heavy bunches on the vine. Unlike other kiwi varieties, they have no hair on their surface, and weigh about one third the amount of a normal kiwi. Kosui truly is an adorable bite-sized kiwifruit. Also, because Kosui Kiwifruit has low levels of acidity, its sweetness stands out even more. Not only that, but being bite-sized, it’s easy to eat. Kosui Kiwifruit is regarded as a luxury fruit, and is shipped to department stores, hotels and Japanese inns located not only in Kagawa, but in other prefectures as well. Premium quality Kosui Kiwifruit with a sugar content of 9 or more are sold as “Sanuki San Fruits”.
